Brief Introduction to the Jiangsu Province Cultural Industry Association
Jiangsu Province Cultural Industry Association is engaged on a provincial level with cultural and creative industries and related industries research, production and marketing, for service enterprises, institutions and individuals, registered on 11 October 2014, as a non profit social community group.
The Association insists on implementing the requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping as to "promoting the excellent traditional culture of China, dealing with the relationship between inheritance and creative development, focusing on creative transformation and innovative development", and strives to cooperate with government and related cultural industries, cultural and creative industries’ organisations, cultural enterprises and institutions by acting as a bridge between each other, while actively promoting the construction of a culturally strong province. The Association seeks to build a cultural industry chain, actively expanding both the domestic and international cultural market, while seeking sustainable development of cultural industries.
To date, the Association has absorbed 147 members from various cultural industries across Jiangsu province.
Almost 3 years after its establishment, with its motto "active service enterprises to create a better home in Jiangsu culture”, member units carry out training seminars, participate in exhibition activities, strengthen information exchange, and their own body of work. As the Association has grown to hundreds of members, so has its reputation been enhanced among the province's press and publications, radio and television, cultural and creative, arts and crafts, musical instrument manufacturing, animation games, cultural tourism and other fields, while in 2017, the Association set up three professional committees dealing with cultural creativity, arts and crafts, plus animation games.
At present, the association shall further implement the province's "thirteen five cultural industry development plan", will accelerate the development of its member communication website, publish a cultural creativity periodical, increase social media presence and produce a large scale display of its cultural and creative achievements, to provide a quality service to members and to strengthen integration with related industries, writing a new chapter in the cultural industry development of Jiangsu province.
